Halima works as a Field Supervisor at DUCS, supervising all research activities in her area. This includes updating demographic events and coordinating studies within scheduled timelines to ensure proper procedures are followed and data is collected accurately and on time. As one of the first team members employed at the launch of DUCS, Halima has consistently delivered strong outcomes across various roles. Her dedication and performance have earned her a promotion to her current supervisory position. She holds an Ordinary Diploma in Human Resources Management (DHRM), awarded in 2020 by the Institute of Social Work, Dar es Salaam. Her background in human resource management enhances her ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with study stakeholders, an essential aspect of daily research operations. Halima has actively contributed to numerous studies, including: Strengthening a Transdisciplinary Patient-Centered Approach for the Prevention of HIV Drug Resistance in Dar es Salaam, Diet, Environment, and Choices of Positive Living (DECIDE): Evaluating Personal and External Food Environment Influences on Diets among PLHIV and Their Families, Health and Aging in Africa: Longitudinal Studies of INDEPTH Communities (HAALSI), Building Evidence and Capacity for Demographic Dividend in Africa (BEC-DDA) and Hypertension studies.
